In this webinar we'll interview Dr Caitlin Capistra, DPT, who specializes in a form of manual therapy called Visceral Manipulation. This type of body work can address and resolve structural imbalance that may be impeding your client's progress in other aspects of health. She'll explain what visceral manipulation is, how it works, when to consider it, and how to find a qualified practitioner for your clients.
About the speaker:
Dr Caitlin Capistran, DPT
Caitlin's foray into bodywork began in 2011 after completing her doctorate in Physical Therapy at Quinnipiac University where she discovered the art of manual therapy. This launched her into a deep exploration of manual therapy and the osteopathic traditions from which it arose. The foundations of osteopathy resonated strongly with her - including the interconnection of body, mind, and spirit, as well as an understanding of the innate wisdom and ability to heal within all of us. She developed an appreciation for the complex and myriad connections between seemingly distant parts of the body and an understanding of the importance of identifying and addressing the true source of dysfunction in the body rather than just the area of complaint. Throughout her career she has always been committed to learning and deepening my skills as a manual therapist- using myofascial release, visceral mobilization, and craniosacral therapy among other skills to support the balance of the body systems and enhance the innate healing ability within.
